sarlyne: I half expect Downton Abbey to end with the start of World War II in the last episode of Season 5. Grandpa Robert “runs” into a tea party and says: “We are now at war with Germany! Again!”  Then the screen goes black, the credits roll and a text tells us:  “All male members of the Crawley family went to war and died, including Tom Branson and Matthew Junior. The same happened to the...

This blog is now active again!!
Firstly, as you’ve probably guessed by the title, this blog is now active again after a couple of months…coming to terms with everything. I decided that it’ll probably be a good idea to start it up again since the US start series 3 tomorrow and no doubt there’ll be TONS of Branson hate to deal with. Secondly, the Sybil and Tom song what I wrote (“Bet On Me”)...

I AM SUCH AN IDIOT
The song is up on itunes and what not, but it’s that draft version I did on sibelius. Now I’m going to have to pay to put the right version back up there.

Bet On Me Update:
It’s currently being mixed and mastered, and they guy doing the mixing and mastering has sent me a 2 minute clip of it so far. I don’t know whether to show it to you guys! The pennywhistle comes in a good few bars too late (my bad) so it sounds really odd at the mo, but it’ll be sorted out, don’t worry. I just don’t know whether to show you or not!! Do you want to...

Bet On Me Update:
Hopefully, everything that still needs to be recorded (just the main vocals) will be recorded tomorrow. It might also be that everything will be ready to send of tomorrow to be mixed and mastered, but that all depends on something that I’m not going to go into detail in here and now! In summary, everything should be recorded by tomorrow, and hopefully, everything will be sent off tomorrow....

Just got back from "Skyfall"
Oh my gosh people. If you live in Blightly go and see it. You will not be disappointed. Fantastic. Has an almost “Angels of Manhattan” quality about it.

I want a spin-off with the Bransons.
elliegoestodownton: 3 Men and a Baby style. Imagine Tom and Kieran living together with Little Sybbie and getting in every possible hilarious situation. Maybe Matthew could join them too (once he gets fed up of Robert and the tenants) since he’s so buddy buddy with Tom.

imperialshadows: I don’t understand why some say that Tom’s character or political activism has been watered down and attach a negative connotation to that. Circumstances and life events change people and Tom has not only been widowed but is also a father now. It is logical that he will have his daughter in mind and not find himself fully preoccupied with things that were once of high priority....

lifedistractions: Everyone is getting their knickers in a twist over Tom accepting the job as estate manager. According to some, this is a sign that Tom is losing his socialist identify and he’s becoming one of ‘them’. A person who he despised. Well to that I say this. Remember this scene? In it, Branson…

Tell Her This
shana-rosee: Sybil finally looked at him straight in the eye. He expected to see angry, rage, hurt, even bitterness. But not sadness, he never expected to see such sadness in her eyes. “Never in a million years would I have ever imagined you of all people saying those words to me. Never.” She then tore her eyes from his and walked out of the garage. fic- [x] song- [x]

Don’t worry I’ll post under the cut! :) Reviews welcome, here or on ff.net. Oh and “The Grand Finale” (OST Edward Scissorhands) was my inspiration and the only thing I listened to as I wrote it.
