Firstly, as you’ve probably guessed by the title, this blog is now active again after a couple of months…coming to terms with everything. I decided that it’ll probably be a good idea to start it up again since the US start series 3 tomorrow and no doubt there’ll be TONS of Branson hate to deal with.
Secondly, the Sybil and Tom song what I wrote (“Bet On Me”) is on itunes (and spotify) for your listening pleasure, and maybe if you like it you can go buy it? I don’t know how to link to itunes so if you just go into itunes and search “Hannah & Joanna” then it should come up.
And last but not least, this is a bit unrelated to Downton, but I have an English Language essay to write for wednesday, and I need to collect a number of conversations, so I was wondering if you lovely people could help? Any written conversation (or a transcription of a spoken conversation, if you wish). Maybe something from FB or a text conversation? You don’t need to put names, just give me something like “person 1” or “person 2” or if you want I can change the names. Just that, the conversation and the gender(s) of the people talking and the ages of the people (doesn’t need to be a proximate age). I hope that’s not too much to ask! If you want to send me something then just send me a message/mail. Thank you lovelies!!
And I hope you had a lovely Christmas! (as lovely as it can be when main characters die in a much loved tv show)
The song is up on itunes and what not, but it’s that draft version I did on sibelius.
Now I’m going to have to pay to put the right version back up there.

(sorry, last post was a draft version) THIS IS THE FINAL MIX AND MASTER!!!!! :D :D :D
Will be up on itunes and spotify within a few days and then you can buy it if you like! Remember, all proceeds got to the Bransonite Support Fund. Please give generously.
It’s currently being mixed and mastered, and they guy doing the mixing and mastering has sent me a 2 minute clip of it so far. I don’t know whether to show it to you guys! The pennywhistle comes in a good few bars too late (my bad) so it sounds really odd at the mo, but it’ll be sorted out, don’t worry. I just don’t know whether to show you or not!! Do you want to hear the clip with the out of time pennywhistle?
Hopefully, everything that still needs to be recorded (just the main vocals) will be recorded tomorrow. It might also be that everything will be ready to send of tomorrow to be mixed and mastered, but that all depends on something that I’m not going to go into detail in here and now! In summary, everything should be recorded by tomorrow, and hopefully, everything will be sent off tomorrow. Then after that, it won’t be long it’s all ready to release!! Yay!!
So nearly all of what needs to be recorded has been recorded :) and it’s only the main vocals now that’s left. It’s only the programmed guitar, cello and violin that only needs to be added along with that. After that’s all ready, I’ll send it off to be mixed and mastered, and then it won’t be long after that until it’s all ready to go!!
We were looking at the Irish Home Rule Bill in History (which is bad enough as it is trying to stop yourself getting sad), and then the teacher said something, I can’t remember the exact wording, but it was something in the way of “we weren’t exactly at our best in Ireland”.
Oh sir. Why did you have to say that??

Bet On Me update:
After…last night, I felt that I needed to make a slight change to the words. Nothing that needed to be done, but something that I thought might make it a bit more…bittersweet. Here’s the full lyrics with the new ones:
(Intro)
(v1)
Summer days,
a pale green haze,
our fingers entwined,
the clouds of war rolled back and caused my change of mind,
